How to start an offer the right way so your progress is tracked

Your progress in an app isn't tracked by Budgey directly, but by our partner, who passes on every goal you reach. For this tracking to work, the way you install and use the app needs to follow a few simple rules. Here are the habits to follow before and during each offer.

Before installing

• Turn off your VPN. A VPN changes your apparent location and stops your install from being linked to your account. It can also lead to your participation being suspended.

• Turn off your ad blocker or private DNS. These tools often block the technical elements used to track installs.

• Check you've never installed the app on this phone before. Only first-time installs are eligible.

When installing

• Always use the offer's button in Budgey. If you search for the app directly in the store, your install won't be recognised.

• Open the app straight after installing it and play for at least a few minutes. This first use is what confirms the install with our partner.

• Install the app on the device you started the offer from, and always play on that same device. Only progress made on that device counts.

During the offer

• Don't uninstall the app until all your 🍌 have been confirmed: without the app, your next goals can't be detected.

• Keep an eye on the time remaining shown in "In progress". Goals reached after the offer has expired aren't rewarded.

🚨 Any attempt to get around these rules (VPN, emulator, multiple accounts, modified device…) is detected by our partner and will result in the 🍌 concerned being declined, or even your participation in Budgey Play being suspended.
